Teddy is the mascot of Audo Copenhagen Nepal Projects. It can be admired by adults as a decorative object or loved by children and used as their comfort bear. The pure, simple shape and material leaves more room for the imagination.

Nepal Projects grew from the desire to use Audo Copenhagen as a platform for making a positive difference. Developed in collaboration with Danida, Nepal Projects provides much-needed fair employment and future opportunities in one of the world’s poorest countries by combining traditional fabric working skills with a current Scandinavian design aesthetic.

Many young Nepali women from poor families risk being lured into prostitution. Through education of children and employment of young women Audo Copenhagen offer a sound and viable alternative. The Nepal Projects is a way to celebrate great craftsmanship, while helping vulnerable workers secure a better future for themselves and their families.

Teddy is made from hand-felted pure wool, handmade in Nepal. Beautifully sewn together, the arms and legs are moveable so that Teddy can change position.
