The Lilium Lounge Table by Fritz Hansen is square with the graphic detail stemming from the planks – and thus the grain of the wood – being placed across, rather than lengthwise; an optical gimmick that lends this table its unique signature. Highly crafted from stainless steel and teak, Lilium is the ideal furniture for outdoor living.
Fritz Hansen’s Lily outdoor collection is developed together with the renowned architect company BIG – Bjarke Ingels Group. For the outdoor collection they were inspired by the waterfronts and industrial heritage of the city Aalborg while also referencing the casual interactions of social gatherings in public spaces.
The collection is defined by combining the teak plank elements and the stainless steel, culminating with the 'x' detail at the base. The wood slats sit elegantly on top of the frame, hiding all hardware connections while creating the illusion that they are floating in place. Where needed, the teak is elegantly curved and shaped to provide extra comfort. The proportions of the lounge chair are slightly widened, adding flexibility to the way it is used. The extra space is a perfect resting spot for a book or cup of coffee. The furniture has been designed to either be combined as a set or function as a standalone.
The Lily outdoor collection also includes a dining chair, bench, dining table and a lounge chair.
Available for dispatch in early July.
