The Lilium Bench by Fritz Hansen is not just a versatile bench but also doubles as a lounge table. Based on the same design premises as the rest of the series, Lilium Bench is both light and sturdy with its X-shaped frame in stainless steel and tabletop in teak planks placed lengthwise for a slender expression – just like the dining table.

Fritz Hansen’s Lily outdoor collection is developed together with the renowned architect company BIG – Bjarke Ingels Group. For the outdoor collection, they were inspired by the waterfronts and industrial heritage of the city Aalborg while also referencing the casual interactions of social gatherings in public spaces.

The collection is defined by combining the teak plank elements and the stainless steel, culminating with the 'x' detail at the base. The wood slats sit elegantly on top of the frame, hiding all hardware connections while creating the illusion that they are floating in place. Where needed, the teak is elegantly curved and shaped to provide extra comfort. The proportions of the lounge chair are slightly widened, adding flexibility to the way it is used. The extra space is a perfect resting spot for a book or cup of coffee. The furniture has been designed to either be combined as a set or function as a standalone.

The Lily outdoor collection also includes a lounge chair, dining chair, dining table and a lounge table.
