Seasonal Incense Cones by Essence + Alchemy are made from natural wood and essential oils. They contain no synthetic fragrances or binding solvents. Each incense cone burns for around 15 minutes and provides an aroma which lasts many hours. The gold tin contains 15 cones, with a lid which can be used as a place to use the cone.

The lighting of incense is a ritual, a connection to the elements often evoking a mental state, which goes far beyond the physical manifestation of its scent. Requiring fire to ignite and oxygen to burn, by consciously striking a match and lighting incense, there is an immediate connection to the air and earth. Light the tip of the incense cone and let the flame burn for a few seconds. Blow out the flame until the tip of the cone is glowing and the aromatic smoke is released into the air.

Notes on the scents:

Autumna

Sweet autumn fruits entwined with warming spices and rich earthy tones makes the Autumna incense the perfect companion to slow down and embrace the changing seasons.

Hiems (Winter in Latin)

Hiems incense combines the traditional aromas of clove studded oranges scented with warming nutmeg and cardamom with a hint of ancient myrrh.

Essential oils are naturally occurring in plants and trees and have been used for centuries to promote mental and physical well-being. Inhaling them stimulates the olfactory system, the part of the brain connected to smell and when their aroma molecules reach the brain they affect the limbic system, linked to emotions, heart rate, breathing and memory. In this way, essential oils can have a subtle holistic effect with true therapeutic well-being benefits.
