OYOY have collaborated with British artist Moira Frith on a series of colourful animal posters. Moira's stylistic universe is parallel in style to OYOY's, with her playful approach and perfect use of colours as the core element. Inspired by nature and with influences of folk and medieval art, artist and biologist Moira Frith’s paintings are pure magic.
These posters are beautiful illustrations of the recognisable animals found in OYOY's playful soft toy collection. If your little one loves crocodiles, they will enjoy running around with OYOY's friendly Mr Gustav Crocodile.
Moira Frith, whose common name is Katie, was born in 1984. She lives in Newcastle-upon-Tyne with her five year old daughter, Agnes.
Katie started painting at the age of seven after she was given some watercolours and a small easel for Christmas by her parents. Her first painting in watercolour was a yellow angel fish under the sea and it still lives in her Grandparent's house to this day.
Katie went on to study zoology/ecology and pursued a career in natural sciences. Like many others who are busy with jobs and careers, she forgot all about her painting for a long time. She started up again about five years after her daughter was born – the change in pace and more time at home rekindled her love for art, and she has been exploring it ever since.
