The Form & Refine Blueprint is an archetypical chair with highly considered features. Its simple silhouette belies carefully crafted details to achieve excellent comfort and practicality.

The chair is made from solid (and sustainably sourced) oak or ash wood with a moulded plywood seat. The seat subtly curves to match the contours of the body, making Blueprint a great chair to sit in for extended social occasions. When the occasion is over the chair can stack up to 5 pieces high! Meaning they could store away in a cupboard or just be neatly arranged for ease of vacuuming underneath.

There are no visible joins, screws or bolts on the Blueprint Chair, clever construction makes a visually pure and minimal design. A comfortable backrest is formed from a single piece of steam-bent wood with a curved profile. Strong, solid legs (which are thicker at the weight-bearing back) complete this chair with surprising lightness and stunning visual sharpness.

Herman Studio

This product is designed by
Herman Studio

Herman Studio was founded in 2012 by two architects; Helle Herman Mortensen and Jonas Herman Pedersen. Their work spans from textile, ceramics, lighting and furniture design to interior design.

A characteristic of their design is each objects’ clear distinct silhouette. Working with an identifiable outline for each object, makes the design stand out simply, clearly and recognisably. Their great passion for design is in addition to aesthetics especially about construction and the use of materials. They work using a methodical and sequential process between sketches, models and prototypes. Their design process often starts by studying construction methods which plays a central role throughout the entire design process in their own workshop.
