Warehouse Assistant

We are looking for an individual with a passion for accuracy and quality to maintain our high standards of delivery to our customers. The role will be to take control of all deliveries into and shipments out of our London warehouse.

 

Important points to note:

  • Salary is £25K - £30K depending on previous experience - always above the London Living Wage.
  • The role will require for you to be physically active all day.
  • This is full time position - 5 days per week (Monday to Friday, 9am-6pm).

 

We’re a small furniture and homewares retailer based in Battersea with a warehouse, showroom and office all under one roof. We’re looking for someone to join the company and become an integral part of our day-to-day operations. Your tasks will be many and varied but will include the following:

 

  • Accepting warehouse deliveries - You will need to accept deliveries from arriving trucks and lead safe unloading of goods into our warehouse.

  • Maintaining the showroom and warehousing areas - Keeping all areas clean and well presented.
  • Picking products -  Accurately selecting the correct products to dispatch onto customers.
  • Replenishing stock and monitoring stock levels - Keeping the shelves tidy and organised when adding/removing stock from the shelves.
  • Packing products - Carefully packaging products into boxes and creating bespoke containers for safe shipping around the world. You would be expected to package and seal customer orders to our high standards to maintain our industry leading low-levels of damage in transit.
  • Customs declarations - We will show you how to prepare appropriate documentation for international shipments.

 

Candidates do not necessarily need any qualifications - You will be assessed purely on your enthusiasm, ability to learn new skills and quality of work. However if you have any qualifications in a design based subject like Architecture, Interior, Graphic, Product or Furniture design it may help your application.

Showroom Manager 

Really Well Made is looking for an enterprising and skilled all-rounder to help grow a young design-led retail business. It is a role for someone with real ambition and drive, who can make the role their own and play a key part in our company’s expansion.

 

Important points to note:

  • Remuneration negotiable dependant on previous experience
  • You will need to have a minimum of 3 years post-graduate experience in a design, sales or marketing role.
  • The role may require for you to be physically active.
  • This is full time position - 5 days per week (Monday to Friday, 9am-6pm).

  • Brand management - You will personally oversee and grow some of our manufacturer/product brands.
  • Product listing - We will teach you how to use our software platform and how to list products online.
  • Image editing and formatting -  You will need good Photoshop skills to format images ready for our website and marketing platforms. We work on Mac, so you should be confident using this operating system.
  • Customer care - Answering customer queries on email, chat and over the phone.
  • Customer sales - You will lead customer meetings in the showroom and guide them to select the best products and finishes for their needs.
  • Accepting warehouse deliveries - You will need to learn how to accept deliveries from arriving trucks and assist safe unloading of goods into our warehouse.
  • Maintaining the showroom and warehousing areas - Keeping all areas clean and well presented. Also helping with ongoing seasonal updates to the spaces.

 

Candidates will need a degree-level qualification in a design based subject like Architecture, Interior, Product or Furniture design. You should already be familiar with the products we retail, as you will have a passion for modern/contemporary design and will probably own a few items yourself already.
