Designed by Hannes and Fritz, HAY's Weekday series was inspired by their impromptu solution to a lack of seating at a dinner party. Weekday is a familiar aesthetic elevated through high quality craftsmanship and novel design details.

The Weekday Table combines a solid, robust structure with softly rounded joints conveying a sense of warmth and familiarity that invites shared dining and a social atmosphere. The clever knock-down construction allows for simple self-assembly and a lower environmental impact through efficient shipping.

Featuring the same simple construction as the classic picnic table, it is crafted with robust and durable FSC-certified pine planks that will patinate beautifully and last for many years. The Weekday Table's strong yet universally appealing character and its weather-resistance surface treatment make it suitable for indoor and outdoor use in a wide range of settings. The optional seat cushions provide extra comfort. We suggest pairing the table with a Weekday Bench or Crate Dining Chair to complete the look.

    Hannes & Fritz

Hannes & Fritz is a design collaboration between Swiss designers Johannes Breuer and Fritz Gräber. Working across two cities – Johannes in Stuttgart and Fritz in Zürich, they develop each project through a back-and-forth process of iteration and evolution. Their projects often begin with the exploration of existing archetypal forms, adding restrained yet deliberate design incursions that bring these typologies into a contemporary context.
