The sheepskin comes from Iceland. Iceland's lamb production is primarily based on sustainable practices that make use of nature's resources. The Icelandic sheepskin used for this armchair is carefully selected for its superior quality. It's sourced from the pure breed of ancient Icelandic Sheep that are direct descendants of the sheep brought to the island by Vikings over a thousand years ago. This wool is specifically developed to withstand the harsh Icelandic winters, which makes it extremely warm and cosy to sit in.
The sheepskin used in the Valhalla armchair is ecologically tanned to ensure no water or soil is contaminated. It's left in its natural colour, with no colouring agents added. The sheepskin is exceptionally soft and luxurious, with a high wool density that ensures longevity.

In the late 1990's Lars Kjerstadius created the company Cuero ('Leather' in Spanish) to produce a new design of the classic Argentinian La Mariposa or Butterfly Chair. Today the company is still family owned and run by his son and daughter in-law. Cuero products are made deep in the Swedish forests with a clear focus on quality and sustainability.
