Kinto have produced the Slow Coffee Brewer Set - a unique coffee brewing tool inspired by the passion of craftsmen. They searched for the very finest materials, to create a set with everything you need for the ultimate pour-over coffee.
A stand is made from rich walnut wood, with a solid brass arm and a gold stainless steel filter to use repeatedly. A heat-resistant glass pouring jug sits underneath and lets you closely observe the dripping process. The jug has minimal measurement markings on the side so you can see how many cups of coffee have been made. The set is completed with a glass cup for both measuring beans and for holding the filter after the brewing process.
Japan is a land of ceremony and in recent years this culture has extended to producing coffee. It's called 'kissaten' coffee shop culture but Kinto have helpfully translated it as 'slow coffee style'. Kissaten was born from hole-in-the-wall coffee shops all around Japanese metropolises; it's a style of making coffee where nothing is ever rushed. Cups are gently warmed, the grounds weighed precisely and hot water is slowly poured - to create the most fully flavoured and balanced coffee. By using a steel filter the set extracts a greater amount of coffee oil, which is the source of the rich taste and aroma of coffee.
